Young 5’s Transitional Kindergarten will be offered again for the 2025-2026 school year. This two-year program will provide our youngest kindergarten age students with the gift of time to develop emotionally, socially, and academically. If your child qualifies, and you feel he/she would benefit, we encourage you to sign up for the opportunity.

February 1, 2025 - Online Registration opens on Final Forms

February 26, 2025 - (4:30-6:30pm) - Connect to Kindergarten Night

March 5, 2025 - (9:00-11:00am) - In-person Enrollment

March 6, 2025 - (12:00-2:00pm) - In-person Enrollment

March 20, 2025 - (4:30-6:30pm) - In-person Enrollment

March 31st, 2025 - Kindergarten Screenings

Step One: Register Online

Complete online registration through FinalForms. Online Registration opens February 1, 2025.

In order to register for Kindergarten, your child must be five (5) years old by August 1, 2025.

Step Two: In-Person Enrollment

Provide the elementary office with the required registration documents. 

Connect to Kindergarten Night

You may come to Bethel Elementary on Wednesday, February 26 from 4:30-6:30pm. Parents and future kindergarten students will be able to meet the kindergarten teachers, view classrooms and complete registration! If you are unable to attend Connect to Kindergarten Night you may turn in documents to the office on March 5th 9-11am, March 6th 12-2pm or March 20th 430-630pm and we will make copies. These documents may also be uploaded directly into Final Forms. *Please note that teachers and classrooms will not be available on any dates other than the Connect to Kindergarten Night on February 26.

Required Registration Documents:

1. Birth Certificate

2. Parent/Guardian Driver’s License

3. Proof of Residency 

4. Immunization Record

5. Physical completed at doctor’s office and uploaded to Final Forms or dropped off at the Elementary Office by August 1, 2025.

6. Custody Paperwork (if applicable)

7. Special Education Records (if applicable)

Step Three: Screening

Screening will take place on Monday, March 31st. You will need to call the office after completing all online registration to sign up for a screening. During screening, your child will be given a readiness assessment by one of our teachers or reading specialists. This information tells us what your child already knows and will assist us in making a recommendation for Kindergarten or Young 5’s Kindergarten.

To be eligible to attend kindergarten during the 2025-2026 school year, your child must be 5 years old on or before August 1, 2025.

For students with a birthdate between March 1, 2020 and August 1, 2020, we are offering Young 5's again for the upcoming school year. This program began being offered during the 2022-2023 school year and has been extremely successful.
