With fad diets, entertainment figures, and peer pressure, many kids are bombarded with messages about their weight.  These days, it may be surprising to know that kids as young as 5 worry about their weight.  Being aware of these facts may help open the door to a meaningful conversation about realistic and healthy weight expectations.
