Tipp City, OH (June 17, 2021) — The Bethel Local Board of Education has awarded a three-year contract to Tina Hageman to serve as the district’s new Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer, effective August 1, 2021. In this role, Hageman will oversee the financial operations of Bethel Local Schools, the accuracy and timeliness of all state and federal reporting, the development of the annual district budget and the district’s Five-Year Forecast.
Mrs. Hageman has served as a school district Treasurer for 14 years, most recently as the treasurer of the Miamisburg City Schools/ Miamisburg Secondary Academy for the last five- and one-half years. Prior to Miamisburg, she served as the treasurer for Adams County/Ohio Valley Local Schools. Mrs. Hageman also worked in the treasurer’s office at Mad River Local Schools for three years prior to becoming the Treasurer at Adams County/Ohio Valley.
Mrs. Hageman as a dual major with her B.S. in Business from Urbana University in Accounting and Organizational Leadership as well as an A.A. in Accounting from Miami-Jacobs College in Dayton.
The Bethel Local Board of Education received assistance in the hiring process from K-12 Business Consulting and the Ohio Association of School Business Officials. After developing a Treasurer Search Profile that was based on information provided by board of education members, teachers, administrators, and support staff, a state-wide search was undertaken to find the next CFO. The Board of Education screened and vetted the credentials of the potential candidates. Following a detailed and thorough interview process Mrs. Hageman was selected.
