Hive Health Check! During this time of year when there is increased illness and spread, we need to do our best to help keep each other healthy! Please keep your child home for 24 hours if they have had any fever, diarrhea, or vomiting. If your child has been sick for more than 2-3 days, consider calling your physician for evaluation. We are currently seeing a lot of strep, influenza A & B, Covid, and gastrointestinal viruses. The Miami County Health Department has also informed us that pertussis (whooping cough) has been circulating. The best way to combat these is by staying home when sick and washing our hands! As we continue through the cold and flu season, please be sure to monitor your child for any symptoms, and keep them home if they have any. If your child is sick, please report their absence to the office of their building level. Mrs. Tipton's classes have been working with our new Finch Robots during class this week! The students get to practice coding by setting directional inputs and having the robots create shapes. The staff at Bethel Elementary are once again looking forward to rewarding students who have been responsible, respectful, and ready this quarter! We will be holding a GLOW PARTY on Wednesday, March 20. This was a big hit last year! Students must earn TWO "bee slips" for EACH bee 3 expectation during the 3rd quarter to earn this reward. Reminder! The Prom Committee is hosting their Mother-Son Fun Night this Saturday, Jan. 27th, from 5-7pm in Bethel Hall! The First Graders had a wonderful winter walk in the woods! They bundled up and took advantage of the perfect conditions to head outdoors for a nature walk! They explored together and compared and contrasted other seasons. #k5hive #BethelLegacy

Bethel Elementary 1st graders are reading many versions of Cinderella from around the world, and to tie in geography skills with our learning we’d like to receive mail from across the United States and the World. This will help us better understand how big our world is, as well as learn about new places. Here’s how you can help: share our request with family members or friends you know who live outside of our area, or even share on social media. Ask them to send us a letter, card, or postcard to say hi or tell us more about the area they live. We will document our special mail on a large map.
