
It was an absolutely SUPERIOR day for Bethel Local Schools at the District Science Fair at Edison State!
Congratulations to all 6 of Bethel’s Science Fair Participants.. They all earned a SUPERIOR rating on their science fair projects. Congratulations to:

In addition to these students who participated at the District Science Fair, Elizabeth Maxwell, one of our students who attends the MVCTC for Sports Medicine, also received a SUPERIOR rating!
They all will be moving onto the State Science Fair. The Bees also won many additional awards:
-Alex Lyall won the Emerson Award for Earth and Environmental Science and Environmental Engineering, 1st place
-Julie Sebastian won the Emerson Award in Material Science , 1st place
-Shritha Kutcherlapati won the Emerson Award for Engineering Mechanical, 2nd place
-Lillian Whelan and Shritha Kutcherlapati won scholarships to go to College of Wooster’s B-WISER (Buckeye Women in Science , Research and Engineering) camp.


Congratulations to Ayden Batton for auditioning and being chosen for the OMEA All State Choir! Ayden was 1 of only 119 students across the state of Ohio to perform with the All State Choir on February 5th at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. Way to go! #BethelLegacy

Shoutout to Bethel Hope Squad for coordinating bring in stress-relieving pups for our students! Hope Squad is a peer-to-peer suicide prevention program. Hope Squad members are nominated by their classmates as trustworthy peers & trained by advisors. This is a new program to BLS!

Congratulations to Bethel Treasurer Tina Hageman for her work with financial reporting. In February 2022, the district she served previously received the Auditor of State Award with Distinction. According to Auditor Keith Faber: "This award recognizes the hard work of fiscal offices to keep clean, accurate records. Their efforts go a long way toward making Ohio more efficient, effective, and transparent." Tina Hageman also serves as President of the local Miami Valley Chapter of OASBO (Association of Ohio School Business Officials) and serves on professional development and Auditor of State committees. Wizards of Wright, a STEM program from WPAFB, recently visited 1st graders at school to teach about animals’ features and adaptations. Students got hands-on practice as various birds trying to “eat”. We are glad to participate in this program! #K5hive #BethelLegacy
